Shoot through umbrella. I like this. I moved the stand around a little bit, changing the position the light hit my daughter from. After reading an article about using shoot through umbrella’s, I moved the umbrella around on the stand, moving it closer to or further away from the light of the flash. The closer the umbrella was to the flash the more concentrated the light was on my model. I liked the softer look created by both sliding the umbrella further away from the flash and moving the flash stand further away from my model.
I also wanted to play around a little bit. I didn’t really create the image I had in mind but part of the problem may have been that this was not the best lighting set up for creating the image I had in mind. That’s okay, I’ll play around a little bit more with until I figure out exactly how to create what it is I am looking for. I hope you guys like them!
