Winter Lighting Challenge 2013-2014, Candlelight Photography

Andrea Crawleys Lemonade Stand rWeek 18 = Candlelight Photography.  I usually try to photograph a living subject, and I think it probably would have looked a lot better if I had, but I decided to do a still life subject for something different this time around.  Besides, it gave me a good excuse for purchasing a little knick-knack I would have never purchased otherwise, even though it made me happy to look at it.  The little bird reminds me that spring is just around the corner!  Although I took several variations of this image, I am only sharing my favorite one this week since we are out of town again.  I hope you like it.

Even though the birdie was purchased to be the subject of the image, I really like the way the light falls on the frosted glass bottle, twine, and key.  That may be my favorite part of the image!

What is it that makes you smile?
